May - June - July .. where did they Go?

Yes I've been MIA .. not literally though just reaaaaaaaaaally busy. Time to update a little though. Here are a few layouts I've done since my last posting. Hoping to accomplish more now that work has settled down a bit and swapping has let up as well. Leave a little love if you have time I've missed sharing my work and getting some feedback!!

Wk 28 & WK 27 & April Sketch and woohoo where have I been?

To say the last two months have been busy is an understatement. I soooo miss my scrapping days. I have been doing some swaps in my free time but no pages at all except the weekly FTS challenge. So here are a few to catch me up to date :)! Thanks for stopping in to check on me and my blog!

This was a 2 pager from Friends that Scrap weekly challenge. I'm still in it at week 27. All the other weekly challenges I've finally dropped out of or was eliminated. It's kind of good because I was not liking the schedule of due dates I felt compelled to keep :). 

This layout is for the monthly sketch at Friends that Scrap. A really fun group with great challenges and friends! These are pics of my 3.5 yr old wearing his "gobbles" to the grocery store! Yes, he loves his goggles! 

And here is week 28 of FTS Challenge. For this challenge I used distressing, paper piecing and twine. 

And last but not least a page I've been so wanting to use since I received it!!! Thank you Lisa L for making me this great layout for my terribly fun 2 yr old ;) I so love how it turned out! I'm hoping this will work for the Monkey See Monkey Do challenge at FTS, but I'm not sure since I really didn't copy Lisa's signature I just flat out used it ;) !!

I've had a little more quiet time today to scrap so here are some layouts I just completed and used one for a challenge on CC. 

These are pics and pieces from the birth announcement I made for our son Tyler. I wanted to keep it as much in tact as possible from the card but I added some ink and lots of fun embellies to make it a nice soft layout. I entered it in my favorite things challenge on CC. It asked for B&W photo's and 3 of my favorite go to items. 

The yellow pieces in this layout were from a swap on IASST. I added them to a Authentique background paper and put on some more embellies and there ya go! A finished page! I love it when it all comes together so easily even if it doesn't seem to match at first! 

FTS Wk 21 & a few more ...

This was for week 21 at FTS. Our weekly challenge. I'm still in it! 

I flipped a sketch for the challenge at Sketch~n~Scrap blog and came up with this one. Don't tell DH he made the internet this way lol! 

A page for Tyler's album .. just some extras of different kits used to make this page. 

This was for a challenge on About A Boy Scrapbook Blog. Challenge was to use items more than 1 year old. Of course I really don't know how old the buttons are but the kit itself was given to me just about a year ago so I think I'm safe! Thanks Mick for a bright and fun kit!

I entered this page into the Scrap Your Story Week #1 Challenge - Use One Photo! I love this sweet pic of my little guy and the page came out great I think using a premade kit. The kit was made by Rhonda Harris on my page kit plus yahoo group. It was a complete page swap minus the background paper. It was meant to be a "Love" page but it worked really well with this picture for me. Thanks Rhonda! 

week 20 @ FTS

More Camping pics, to go with my last challenge. I haven't had time at all to scrap lately and that's a hard thing to live without! Only off one day this weekend and then back to work again so I'm sure I won't get much done this weekend either :/. Anyway, here is my week 20 challenge on yahoo group Friends That Scrap! Great group come check it out if you like scrappin' or chatting or both! I used a sketch plus distressing, 6+ flowers, 4+ pattern papers and hand journalling. 

SYAO 55!

Here is the challenge we had to follow this week! Another CSI Challenge :) I loved the colors but found the overall case file a bit challenging! For the Evidence I used metal brads and twine, as well as some jewels up in the corner. I used the word " Escape " both in my title and in my journaling for the Testimony. I followed the sketch and stretched it a bit to work with a second page that I will share tomorrow. All colors can be found in my flowers.

Wasn't quite sure I'd get this finished today! It's been a crazy busy week and this was again a little out of my comfort zone. A few minutes of thinking outside of the box and well here it is!
